19-Piece Compaq Big Band With Vocalist Marina Evans at Swing City

Leaves raked? Not quite time to buy Thanksgiving dinner ingredients or do early Christmas shopping? It's the perfect time of year to get out and try swing dancing when with the 19-piece Compaq Big Band returns to Swing City in Cambridge, MA on Saturday November 9th. We’re on at one of our all-time favorite venues from 9:00pm-12:00am. Admission just $18 ($16 with valid student ID), and as always there’s a fun introductory swing dance lesson included from 8:00pm-9:00pm. Check out www.swingcityboston.com.

The ridiculously talented Marina Evans will be out in front of the band channelin’ Ella, Diane Schuur, Joanie Somers, Natalie Cole, and more, plus swingin’ instrumentals.

Swing City is the Boston area’s longest running regular swing dance, and it’s a terrific atmosphere for dancers of all abilities from novice to experienced, all age groups, and singles, couples, and groups. Plenty of free parking at the West Cambridge Youth Center at 680 Huron Avenue.
