The endearing warmth and charm of Julia Mark's music and voice has quickly made her a favorite in the Boston music scene. Her music is optimistically dissonant and lyric-driven and her musicianship on piano or ukulele flows seamlessly through her many quirky song topics.
Julia is for the listener who likes to transcend into a musical and visual scene. With the songwriting penchant of Carole King and the soft-easy vocal of Suzanne Vega, Julia weaves in and out of playful melody and wit to deliver her own unique songs and stories.
In September of 2015, Julia was the winner of the 16th Lizard Lounge Main Event. In February 2016, she released her 6-song album, "Question Mark" available on Bandcamp. In December of 2016, Julia was an Iguana Music Fund grantee.
Julia also performs as a member of the Boston Music Award- and New England Award-winning Ruby Rose Fox Band.
Tom Smith’s songs are in turns humorous, touching, thought provoking, and inspiring. Deeply rooted in the old-school folk tradition, his timeless stories are told with a voice that is honest and sincere with melodies that you will remember forever. In the words of noted singer/songwriter Barbara Kessler, “Tom Smith will make you laugh and cry (maybe even in the same song) – a very captivating songwriter and performer.”
Carlin Tripp is an American songwriter drawing from a life spent roaming this great country, seeking out rare experiences and making new friends along the way. His songs reflect on love lost, love found and the trials and joys we all face in our day to day existence. We are all searching for an answer in our own unique way and it seems Carlin's music longs to provide us with a brief insight to the inner workings of the human spirit.
