Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be “couples only.” This heartwarming season is about celebrating love for anyone special: friends, family, and yourself! Whether you are looking to share Love Day with your gals and pals, or taking the time to treat yourself, these 33 events in Boston are the perfect ways to honor every kind of love. And to my fellow queer friends, I've made sure to add some queer-specific celebrations here too.

1) Annual Valentine’s Day Fashionably LATE Lingerie Show

When: Thursday 2/8, 10:00PM

Where: Beacon Hill

Info: Grab a free ticket to see this lingerie show that showcases pieces from a woman-owned, MA small business, Bloom Lingerie Boutique. Feel empowered watching delicately designed lingerie pieces on the runway that are meant to showcase confidence.


2) Galentine’s Bash with DJ Tavo

When: Thursday 2/8, 10:00PM

Where: Somerville

Info: Ready for a night out on the town? Head to this Galentine’s party where you will be sure to dance the night away with your friends. There will be specialty cocktails too!


3) I Hate My Ex Brunch

When: Saturday 2/10, 11:00AM

Where: Downtown

Info: Enjoy a wine-and-dine with your besties. Listen to the best breakup anthems in history as you sip, eat, and write letters to your exes to unleash your rage. There will also be tequila sampling to fuel the fire. 


4) ‘Mean Girls’ Galentine’s Brunch

When: Saturday 2/10, 11:00AM

Where: Seaport

Info: Munch on your favorite brunch eats with a ‘Mean Girls’ twist. DJ J-Wall will be dropping tunes and bubbles cocktails will be flowing as you discover what’s “so fetch” at City Tap.


5) Besties & Brews Galentine’s Party

When: Saturday 2/10, 12:00PM

Where: Somerville

Info: You heard ‘em! Grab your besties and head on over to Aeronaut Brewing for a celebration of friendship and love. Enjoy a small market and write valentines. Paint trinket trays and make friendship bracelets while sipping on some brews too!


6) Galentine’s Drag Bottomless Brunch

Where: Cambridge

Info: Enjoy scrumptious eats of tacos and Mexican fusion plates at Painted Burro. With a wide selection of cocktails and lively hosts for the drag performance, this event is perfect for celebrating platonic love with your friends.


7) Blooms & Besties Galentine’s Floral Workshop

Where: Somerville

Info: Unleash your inner creative by arranging your own flower bouquet as you snip and sip with Bluebird Bouquets, a woman-owned local business, at Aeronaut Brewing.  


8) Galentine’s DRAGtacular Brunch

Where: Seaport

Info: Enjoy a full afternoon of dancing and singing by four drag queens. Your ticket comes with a mimosa, so sip away and enjoy the show. 


9) Eataly Valentine’s Wine-Around

When: Saturday 2/10, 1:00PM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Ever wanted to take a wine tour in Italy? Well, you don’t have to since Eataly is hosting a “wine-around” with 10 complimentary wine tastings. You’ll feel like you're in a vineyard with the smell of pasta, wine, and warm pastries. 


10) Galentine’s Day R&B Day Party 

When: Saturday 2/10, 2:00PM

Where: Everett

Info: Enjoy dancing to soft beats with all your girlfriends at this ladies only day party! There’s no cover and red attire is recommended. 


11) Galentine’s Day Floral Design

When: Sunday 2/11, 10:00AM

Where: Watertown

Info: Flowers and bouquets are beautiful for any special occasion. But who said flowers can’t be enjoyed on a random Sunday? In this class, you can bring your friends and make new ones as you learn how to express yourself through floral arrangements and design.


12) Galentine’s Modern Calligraphy Beginner Class

When: Sunday 2/11, 10:00AM

Where: Cambridge

Info: This Sip & Script workshop will walk you through modern calligraphy how-to’s with a pointed dip pen and ink. You’ll be writing carefully scripted cursive cards to give to your friends and loved ones in this event! The skills you’ll take away are great for some self care journaling too.


13) We Love Local Makers Market

When: Sunday 2/11, 11:00AM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Support 75 local artists at this midwinter makers mart full of chocolate treats, colorful prints, whimsical crafts, and more. Treat your friends or treat yourself with some one-of-a-kind finds that were handmade with love.


14) Self Love is Self Care

When: Sunday 2/11, 2:00PM

Where: Somerville

Info: Take some time to yourself and explore some mental health resources in this community care event. You’ll be able to decorate some yummy cookies, fill in some calming coloring pages, play some card games, and create letters of hope with others. This event is the ideal getaway to recharge. 


15) Early Valentine’s Day Sip and Paint

When: Sunday 2/11, 3:00PM

Where: Roxbury

Info: Stop by Long Live Roxbury to enjoy an afternoon of acrylic pour art. Every piece will be one-of-a-kind as you are guided by an artist instructor. Enjoy some brews and prepare to get messy!


16) Galentine’s Day Bracelet Making Party

When: Monday 2/12, 5:00PM

Where: Fenway

Info: Spend some time with your friends at Time Out as you spread love by making bracelets with the Little Words Project, a woman-owned business whose mission is to empower individuals. You’ll be able to craft for your friends, partners, and patients at Tufts Medical Center. 


17) Galentine’s Market

Where: Fenway

Info: Shop local from this market that features all female-owned businesses. There will be cookies, tarot readings, and permanent bracelets!


18) Galentine’s Build-a-Boob Pot

When: Monday 2/12, 7:00PM

Where: Southie

Info: Celebrate every kind of body with this self-affirming workshop that encourages you to add every beautiful stretch mark and curve on your own boob pot. You’ll learn how to sculpt with clay in a fun environment. 


19) Galentine’s Day Rooftop Party

When: Monday 2/12, 7:00PM

Where: Seaport

Info: Enjoy a free Viva Tequila Seltzer while supplies last as you take in the breathtaking views of Boston Harbor. This rooftop party will have fire pits, dining igloos, and more with a can’t-beat skyline as your backdrop. 


20) Galentine’s Paint and Sip

When: Tuesday 2/13, 6:00PM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Learn from Boston artist, Laurel Greenfield, as she teaches you and your friends how to paint a brightly colored chocolate truffle box on canvas. This event includes all painting materials, a drink from Pine Bar, and a truffle tasting. 


21) Women’s Networking Night

When: Tuesday 2/13, 6:00PM

Where: Seaport

Info: Let’s get down to business. Meet and mingle with other girl bosses in this networking event at Moxy’s Rooftop Lounge. Enjoy skyline views, chocolate, and new friends. 


22) Palentine’s Pottery Class

When: Tuesday 2/13, 6:30PM

Where: Roxbury

Info: Grab your friends or go solo as you learn how to mold your hearts’ desires with this two-hour beginner workshop. Plus, you’ll be supporting a woman-owned business that donates some of its proceeds to mental health initiatives!


23) Galentine’s Day Cocktail Making Class

When: Tuesday 2/13, 6:30PM

Where: Seaport

Info: Learn about how to make cocktails with fancy recipes. This class will be full of instruction time, food, and of course, drinks!


24) Galentine’s Day Drag Karaoke at Painted Burro

When: Tuesday 2/13, 8:00PM

Where: North End

Info: Belt your heart out with songs by pop star icons. Hosted by Drag Queens Queen Linda Maripossa and Regina Jackson, you’ll be surrounded by glam energy and a whole lot of show stopping performances. 


25) Galentine’s Day at Improv Asylum

When: Tuesday 2/13, 8:00PM

Where: North End

Info: Enjoy comedy with a show performed, directed, and powered by women. There will be skits, new acts, and lots of laughs with all of the women from Improv Asylum’s casts. 


26) Skip the Small Talk - LGBTQIA+ Speed Friending

When: Wednesday 2/14, 7:00PM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Spend Valentine’s Day surrounded by books and good company. Meet queer folks who are also looking for community at this speed friending event without the awkwardness – questions are already chosen for deep conversations!


27) Galentine’s Day at Davio’s

When: Thursday 2/15, 6:00PM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Hors d'oeuvres, two Galentine’s cocktails, and a chocolate strawberry gift box to take home are all included in this ticket to Davio’s where you’ll leave with happy tummies and good memories. 


28) Pitch-a-pal

When: Thursday 2/15, 6:30PM

Where: Seaport

Info: If you want to speed along your friend’s journey from ready to mingle to no longer single, stop by this event at Harpoon where folks will be pitching their friends to you! Have a laugh and a drink at this fun event.


29) Cheese, Chocolate, & Cheese Board Arranging Workshop

When: Thursday 2/15, 6:30PM

Where: Malden

Info: This event includes a cheese and chocolate tasting in honor of National Cheddar Day and National Cream-Filled Chocolate Day falling on Galentine’s and Valentine’s. Master the art of charcuterie with a friend as you munch and decorate a heart-shaped board. 


30) Embracing Pleasure: A Queer Self Love Workshop

Info: Enjoy this sex positive workshop about loving and fully accepting yourself. For my fellow queer babes out there, pleasure is made for us too. Grab a glass of wine, take a seat, and be in community with other Boston queer folks.


31) “Mortified” Podcast Live: Valentine’s Edition

When: Friday 2/16, 7:00PM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Throw it back to your angsty, doe-eyed teen days with hilarious stories of love letters not sent and heart pounding poems for that long lost high school sweetheart. Enjoy this live taping of the “Mortified” podcast that will leave you nostalgic and breathless from laughing so hard. 


32) Defying Drag-ity: A Drag Retelling of Wicked

When: Friday 2/16, 7:00PM

Where: Back Bay

Info: Enjoy the retelling of this famous musical that celebrates sisterhood and friendship. You’ll be surrounded by positive energy, laughs, live music, and a whole lotta love. 


33) Galentine’s Day Candle Making Event

When: Saturday 2/18, 1:00PM

Where: Dorchester

Info: Munch on some snacks and sip on some drinks as you learn how to make a candle with this event hosted by Bare Skin + Beauty and Lit Vibes.
