While the sun is out and the air is warm, join us for Yoga on the Dock, and start your day with inspiration and clarity. All classes of this series will be themed, in varying ways, around the notion of 'being the light.' The classes will involve breath, movement, and meditation - drawing from the teachings of Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Bhakti yoga. If you like to start your mornings with some sweat + physical challenge, as well as a quiet moment to go within - definitely come join us!
In Kundalini Yoga, they call an early morning practice 'sadhana':
"What is sadhana? It’s a committed prayer. Sadhana is self-enrichment. It is not something which is done to please somebody or to gain something. Sadhana is a personal process in which you bring out your best." - Yogi Bhajan.
That is just what we will be working on. Elevating ourselves to our best, releasing anything else. Through the practice of yoga.
This weeks class will be taught by Rachel Petri. Rachel has been teaching around Boston (and for 1 year in San Diego), since becoming a 200hr RYT in 2016. Since then she has continued to study vinyasa, bhakti, and kundalini yoga. She is trained by lululemon in the Practice of Leadership, and by MOSAIC Institute for Human Development in Yoga and leadership.
She grew up learning about Kundalini Yoga from her mom, and eventually developed her own reverence for Vinyasa yoga. Her classes aim to focus the mind on the breathe and movement. They aim to open the heart, and give students a chance to deep dive into their awareness, strength, fluidty, radiance, and infinite potential.
Class will start at 6:30am - please arrive a few minutes early to set up your space. All you need to bring is a yoga mat, water, and a reusable to-go cup/mug if you would like some yogi tea after class.
all our love - see you on the dock!
