On August 18th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm, join We, Ceremony and Boston writer and housing activist Beya Jimenez for "Where We Stand: Boston Women of Color Mayoral Candidate Forum." This forum will highlight the women of color mayoral candidates — Acting Mayor of Boston Kim Janey and Boston City Councilors Andrea Campbell, Annissa Essaibi George, and Michelle Wu — and their visions for a just City of Boston. The forum will follow a round-robin format and candidates will share opening and closing statements. This is an opportunity for women of color voters to hear from the candidates on issues of importance to their communities such as racial justice, economic justice, environmental justice, immigration, transportation, education, and housing.
This event will center Millennial and Gen Z women of color and the issues that matter most to them. The forum will be moderated by Boston writer and housing activist Beya Jimenez.
