This year’s National Poetry Month is too big to be contained! Come kick off your April early with the fourth annual Grudge Match Poetry Slam at OBERON, where The House Slam at The Haley House Bakery Cafe and the Boston Poetry Slam go head-to-head for literary supremacy.


Captains Porsha O. (House Slam) and Simone Beaubien (Boston Poetry Slam) will lead their teams into a seven-round slamstravaganza, featuring ALL NEW POEMS on topics selected by the Captains.


Opening performers will include heart-of-gold queer and trans songmaker Anjimile and perennially lauded favorite and super-smart Boston comic Wes Hazard. The show will be hosted by Grudge Match regular and Mass LEAP Managing Director Alex Charalambides.


Our all-star no-holds-barred American-Idol-style judges will include notable poetry persons Justice Ameer Gaines, Princess Moon, Olivia Gatwood, and Adobo-Fish-Sauce.


SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
* 6:30PM: Doors open in time for custom cocktails;
* 7:00PM: Opening artists;
* 7:30PM: Poetry slam!
* 9:30PM: DJ Cliff Notez until close
