The Dance Complex's Festival of Us, You, We, & Them

The Dance Complex has hummed with the sound of drums and castanets, the fall of footsteps in tap shoes, in ballet slippers and no shoes at all, the shouts of cheering as a dancer takes the floor for over 25 years. Our home is a home to all, especially during The Festival of Us, You, We, & Them.

The Dance Complex celebrates this heritage with its 7th annual Festival of Us, You, We, & Them on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, 27. This year we are shifting to a virtual format for the festival. The festival invites the community at large to sample new movement styles, engage in conversation, and experience performances with each participant taking a deeper step into their journey as a moving body and into our community. Reflecting the wide range of movement styles within our community, class and performance offerings will encompass classical Indian, jazz, contemporary, West African contemporary, belly dance, ballet, and more. And this year, we visit with communities integral to previous years' celebrations.
