WHAT: On Sunday April 5th, 2015 The Beehive is celebrating Easter Sunday with a two-course prix fixe brunch, live jazz performances all day long, and a special Easter egg hunt made complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny himself!
From 9:30AM to 3:30PM, guests can indulge in a two-course prix fixe brunch beginning with items such as Italian Easter Egg Drop Soup (Stracciatella) or Smoked Trout Crostini before indulging in the main event with choices that include Eggs Benedict with Ham, Spinach or Short Ribs and Easter classics such Roast Leg of Lamb and Quiche with Spinach, Roasted Tomato, Gruyere & Goat Cheese. The two course meal is $45 per person and includes choice of coffee or tea (tax and gratuity not included). For kids ten and under, The Beehive has a “Little Bee’s Kids Menu” ($18) to order from before they scurry off to partake in the annual Easter egg hunt or take a photo with the Easter Bunny from 9:30AM to 3:30PM. Throughout the afternoon guest’s brunch will be complemented by the smooth sounds of the Steve Kirby Trio from 9:30AM to 1:00PM followed by the Fernando Huergo-Yulia Musayelyan Trio from 1:30PM to 3:30PM.
For the late risers, The Beehive is serving Easter Dinner from 5:00PM-10:00PM from an à la carte menu, including Uni Crusted Grouper with braised collard greens, and green tabasco ($32), Duck Au Poivre with schmaltz fried rice and mustard pickles ($28) Roast Ham and Leg of Lamb and Lamb Shepard’s Pie with whipped parmesan potatoes and root veggies ($24).
All day long guests can get in the spirit with signature cocktails such as the Beehive Bloody Mary ($11), Queen Bee with Skyy vodka, fresh grapefruit, St. Germaine and champagne ($13), Valentino Martini with Ketel One vodka, blood orange, and passion fruit ($12) and the Spiced Pear Collins made with gin, spiced pear puree, lemon, and soda ($12).
All evening long guests can jam out to live jazz performances beginning at 5:00PM wth Liz Tobias. From 8:00PM to 12:00AM, The Beehive’s “Sunday Night Blues Series” will round off the night with an all-star house blues band led by 25-year musical veteran keyboardist and producer, Bruce Bears.
