Intensives run 9am-4pm. Welding is an essential part of our lives – from the cars we drive, to the buildings we live in, and has also become prevalent in modern art. Students learn shop safety, how to use tools and equipment, finishing methods, project planning and completion. Various welding techniques are covered including gas and arc welding. Students should wear closed-toe leather shoes, non-frayed jeans, a long sleeve natural fiber shirt, an old cap or bandanna and tie back long hair.
Students should bring their lunch or money for lunch at Ula Cafe (walkable) where we take a group at lunch time.
Intensives run Tuesday-Thursday, available 7/24-7/26, 8/7-8/9, and 8/14-8/16.
