This parent workshop explores the foundations of toddler and preschooler sleep and provides an overview of gentle techniques to support the development of new sleep patterns. Parents will obtain scientific information about sleep and approaches to support developmentally appropriate sleep patterns in their child. This workshop does not promote a “right way” to help a child sleep; rather, we will provide information and tools that can empower parents to make choices that are right for their own families. There will be time for individual questions and answers.
In this workshop, you will learn:
1. Why toddlers and preschoolers sleep the way they do
2. How biology and psychology affect your child’s sleep
3. Developmentally appropriate expectations for your child's sleep
4. Gentle techniques to support the sleep learning process
5. Tools and strategies that you can apply to your own child and family
