About the Rainbow Connection
The Rainbow Connection is a brand new arts company dedicated to providing paid artistic opportunities to the queer community of Boston. Our premier event was an art gala featuring the art of five local artists which resulted in over $500 in sales, with proceeds going to directly to the artists. Our debut performance was a musical revue called "The Dark I Know Well." This production employed over twenty artists, the majority of whom identified as LGBT+. This production left audiences asking "so what's next?"
Our eventual goal is to use 25% of ticket sales from each event to go into a community fund that will be used to help members of Boston's queer community who experience financial emergencies.
RC Boston was founded by Erik James Bailey in 2018. He is a graduate of Dean College where he earned a BA in Theatre. He has been in the theatre and arts world for over 10 years in multiple facets, onstage and off.
