We are excited to welcome to Simmons the Somerville Symphony Orkestar, a local Eastern European Punk Funk Band, as part of the Trustman Gallery’s Music in the Gallery series.

Come to the fourth floor of the Main College Building to hear music inspired by Klezmer, Balkan, traditional Russian, jazz, funk, and rock music that will have you clapping and even dancing along. This is not your typical gallery concert!

All are invited to this free concert happening on April 6th, 2017 at 3pm. Reception to follow.


Somerville Symphony Orkestar energizes the New England music scene with their idiosyncratic sound, party-friendly reputation and repertoire that transcends any genre. The band collects inspiration from a wide variety of music; from Balkan and traditional Russian to Klezmer and jazz, and creates instrumental arrangements that are both complex and chaotic.
