Mr. Hip Presents: Youth Reads Featuring Andrew Peterson

Mr. Hip Presents: Youth Reads will host poetry events for all youth under the age of 18. Four to five youth poets will read their work. After the reading, there will be a local/traveling guest poet who will also share poems youth and hold a question and answer for anything the kids may be interested in asking.

Andrew Peterson‘s poetry books include “some deer left the yard moving day” (BlazeVox Books 2013), “Karaoke Lipsync Opera” (White Sky eBooks 2012), and “Museum of Thrown Objects” (BlazeVox 2010). His chapbook “bonjour meriwether and the rabid maps” was runner up in Fact-Simile Press’ Equinox Chapbook Contest Runner Up, published in 2011. He edits summer stock, an online literary journal.

This event will run every first Thursday of the Month at the Trident Bookstore located on Newbury Street in Boston. If youth are interested, we ask that they send 1-2 poems to [email protected] with YOUTH READS in the subject line. We will respond and schedule them to share their work/words.
