Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by surrounding yourself with art, culture, and community. Enjoy free admission all day long and an array of vibrant programs and activities for all ages!
Be sure to visit the exhibition “Wilson/Cortor,” which highlights two contemporary artists—John Wilson and Eldzier Cortor—each dedicated to exploring the African American experience, and join a Gallery Talk for even more insight. American Sign Language (ASL) tours and ASL-interpreted events are available throughout the day.
View the Community Arts Initiative Partner Spotlight, featuring artworks commemorating Dr. King's legacy created by students from the Museum's 10 partner clubhouses. Join Artists For Humanity to add your creative mark to a collaborative mural, and meet the MFA's Teen Arts Council and artists from "HOMiE," the Museum's first teen art exhibition.
Bring the kids on a fun, interactive Family Tour or Story Hour and drop in on a Family Art-Making Activity to create masterpieces to take home. Performances also take place throughout the day, featuring Boston City Singers and more!
