Minni ColorShop (virtual)

Minni virtual workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 4–10 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.

In Minni ColorShop (virtual) students will embark on their own colorful course as they learn how to name and mix a full spectrum of original shades. Instructor Maria will offer a foundational introduction to color theory before students transform original colors into vibrant works of art.

Materials Needed

Scavenger hunt items: 3 objects in secondary colors (orange, purple, green). Keep to objects of simple shapes such as blocks, books, boxes and toys. Objects can be any shade of orange, purple and green. No need to have an object in each color!

White paper

Pencil

Red, yellow, blue and white tempera paint in a palette, tray or small dishes (an egg carton makes a great paint palette)

Extra bowls or containers to mix paint in if not using a palette

Cup or small container of water

Paint brush

We encourage all participants to complete a fun scavenger hunt challenge before we gather for each workshop. These items are listed above in the material list.
