Lex Unwind

Beginning on Friday Sep 15th Church of Our Redeemer at 6 Meriam St. in Lexington, will host “Lex Unwind,” a free, monthly Music and Movie Night featuring live performances by local musical groups followed by a classic family-friendly movie or documentary. Pizza, soft drinks, coffee and snacks will be available for a nominal fee. The monthly events, on the 3rd Friday each month, will be held in the recently upgraded, wheelchair accessible “Great Hall” in the church’s basement via the side entrance to the church (facing the bike path). Doors will open at 6:30 PM with pizza/snacks available throughout the evening. Music will start at 7PM followed by a movie beginning at 8:30 PM to approx. 10 PM. The public is invited to drop in anytime during the evening to hear the music, grab some pizza and enjoy the movie (Note: children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult). When asked about “Lex Unwind,” Redeemer’s rector, the Reverend Kate Ekrem said “We’re very glad to be able to offer Lexington families a chance to let go of some of the stress of everyday life and enjoy a relaxing evening together!” Check the Redeemer website www.our-redeemer.net and Lexington Minuteman for upcoming performance details and movie titles.
