We will be hiking two mountains with amazing views of fall colors in NH. Mount Waumbek (4006 ft) and Mount Starr King (3997 ft), we will be taking starr king trail which is about 6.8 mile out and back.


We will start on Starr King trail and the elevation begins as a steady, gentle incline and never gets very steep. The best views are from Starr King to the south overlooking a vast plain and the entire Presidential Range. The summit of Waumbek is wooded, but the walk over from Starr King is beautiful. Hopefully we will be lucky to see Canada Jays that live near the Starr King summit.

* Hiking/trail shoes - absolutely no sneakers


* Non cotton layers - no jeans allowed


* Bring 2-3 litres of water


* Snack and or food


* Backpack to carry your stuff

* Sunscreen


* Hat
