Greg Hawkes, keyboardist for the legendary Boston band The Cars, curates a special evening of music from The Cars catalog backed by Boston's Eddie Japan.
As the keyboardist for the legendary Boston band and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members, The Cars, Greg Hawkes forged the sound of the new wave generation. Pioneering and pushing the limits of technology and sequencing of the late '70s and early '80s, Greg cemented the synthesizer's place in rock and pop music, and his contribution has influenced countless artists and bands since. Along with achieving Rock and Roll Hall of Fame status and massive commercial success with The Cars, Greg has been a sought-after session and touring musician, and has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren, and The Turtles, to name a few. In 2016, Greg collaborated with Boston's acclaimed Eddie Japan to produce their 2017 album Golden Age. This collaboration led to Greg joining the band on stage to perform mini-sets of songs from The Cars catalog, and now Greg and Eddie Japan have expanded this to a full night of music featuring a set list curated by Greg.
