Natick resident and founder of Boost Beauty & Wellness in Wellesley Hills, Dayle Solomont, will cross a major accomplishment off of her bucket list when she takes part in the 122nd Boston Marathon in support of the David Ortiz Children’s Fund on April 16th. The David Ortiz Children’s Fund (DOCF) is a nonprofit created by its namesake former Boston Red Sox slugger which provides lifesaving heart surgeries and pediatric care for children in New England and the Dominican Republic.
Solomont joins 11 other dedicated “pinch runners” as part of this year’s #PinchRun4Papi Marathon team who will raise funds for the David Ortiz Children’s Fund. In partnership with MassGeneral Hospital for Children and CEDIMAT Hospital in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the Fund has saved over 670 lives to-date. Through this year’s Marathon efforts, the newly launched campaign “#PinchRun4Papi” aims to raise an additional $170,000 toward lifesaving heart surgeries for 34 children by Marathon Monday.
On Thursday, March 29, Solomont will host a special event at Boost Beauty & Wellness beginning at 7:00pm – themed “Get Ready for Your Spring Occasions” – bringing together high-end beauty vendors such as: Stacy Frasca, Maria Cardenas, DMD, and Maura Wyman Photography. Whether preparing for your upcoming nuptials or you simply want to look your best this spring, guests are invited to join for the chance to win multiple beauty packages generously donated from each vendor. Representatives from each company will offer free consultations and be available to answer any questions about their services. Solomont will be selling raffle tickets for $5.00 each throughout the evening and guests have the chance to win items such as teeth whitening systems, tanning packages, skin care treatments and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit the David Ortiz Children’s Fund and help Solomont reach her personal fundraising goal of $7,500. Raffle tickets will be available starting at $5.
Can’t make it on the 29th? There are plenty of simple ways to get involved and contribute to Team Papi’s $170,000 goal:
• Purchase a limited edition David Ortiz Yankee Candle ($30)
• Purchase exclusive merchandise, including a limited edition “Still Our City” T-shirt
