Are you a POC? Like to read? Come thru and join us for our second meet up! Attending a previous session is not required- we cover a new book each month!

This month's book is James Baldwin's "Go Tell It On The Mountain". TW: the book contains sexual abuse of a minor and homophobia. Baldwin's novel follows the life of a black boy growing up in 1920s Harlem. "Go Tell It On The Mountain" explores religion, sexuality and gender and how they coalesce to form identity.

Reading the whole book is not a requirement! You can still join us in discussion.

Thank you to 826 Boston for providing the space! We will be exploring one of their youth written published works, "My Reflection, Before & After" in the beginning of our session. "My Reflection" is a series of poems and creative pieces on identity.

Light refreshments provided.
