Enjoy an afternoon of hands on experience, fun, and cider making instruction in a group setting as we make small batches of hard cider. Join cider maker Michael Afonso for this one day accelerated workshop, designed for the craft cider enthusiast who is ready to take the cider making process into their own hands (limited to only 12 people per session). If you like Downeast Cider, and want to make some hard cider of your own, join us for this unique opportunity!
This course is aimed at both novice and experienced homebrewers looking to increase their understanding of craft cider fermentation. Participants will go through the basic steps of cider making, and hopefully gain a deeper understanding of the hard-cider fermentation process as well, enabling them to improve the quality of the ciders they make at home.
The workshop also includes: (1) 32oz growler, you can choose from the ciders that were started during your workshop. Pints of these ciders will be available to purchase while they last (workshop ciders will be ready to be picked up at the Cider house approximately 25-40 days after your workshop); a pint glass souvenir, and samples of all available ciders, including single batch and experimental ciders in the Downeast portfolio. You also have the option to purchase 5-gallons of fresh cider to make a batch at home, just select your choice from additional options at checkout when you register.
