About the class: This class will introduce us to plants that help us to find deep rest and open the portals to the magical world of dreaming. Winter is a potent season for connecting to the intuitive realm of sleep. This class will give us tools and potions for releasing our day so we may connect to sleep as a necessary and healing medicine while learning to tune into the guidance of our dreams.
The first class in this two-part series begins with meeting the plants. We’ll sip tea, taste tinctures, and elixirs, use herbal infused oils and learn in depth about the history and usage of plants and rituals for connecting to our dream realm. We will address how we can begin to heal the physical and emotional manifestations of anxiety and stress through herbal remedies and the medicine of a good night’s rest.
In the second class, we’ll make tools to sleep including dream pillows and herbal blends that can be used for tea, smoking, incense, and infused oils. This class will offer an introduction on how to use these herbal remedies to create rituals and set intentions that assist us in relaxing into sleep and opening to the magic of dreaming.
Each class will begin with a tea meditation so we ask that you bring a mug, a journal a pen. All other materials will be provided.
Time & Date: This is a two-part that runs on Wednesdays Feb 1 and 8 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.
About the facilitator: Maribeth Keane has always been a creative spirit and her artistic paths eventually led her to nature, to know deeply the healing world of the plants. She has studied and continues to study plant spirit healing ayurveda, and traditional western herbalism with the hopes of expanding her studies to include her ancestral history of the plants/food that her ancestors used for medicine.
