Join us for a pop-up dinner event at the CultureHouse in Kendall Square. Sam Musher from Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW), an organization building neighborhood climate resilience, will facilitate a conversation surrounding the ideas of climate change and seasonality. Additionally enjoy authentic Ethiopian cuisine prepared by Meqdes, an Ethiopian immigrant . The meal served will be vegetarian in order to thoroughly promote and understand how our food impacts our climate.

Meqdes will be cooking the following Ethiopian delicacies:

-TIKKIL GOMEN ( ጥቅል ጎመን ) : Braised cabbage cooked with potatoes and carrots, rendered with complex flavors by the herbs it is cooked with. This is a vegan dish.
-MISSIR WOT ( ምሥር ወጥ ) : A spicy lentil stew, slow cooked to achieve the warm complex flavors infused with a variety of herbs and spices. This is a vegan dish.
-TIMATIM SELATA ( ቲማቲም ሰላጣ ) : Tomato salad.
