Grab a drink (first one is included in ticket price!) and make something unique and beautiful. This workshop will get you into a zone of zen working with paper, water and ink by using the techniques of Suminagashi, Japanese for “floating ink”.
Suminagashi is a traditional art form from the 12th century that reveals the mesmerizing, ever-changing nature of water. We will be creating a floating piece of art on the surface of the water and capturing the swirling, ever morphing moments on coasters. Take advantage of delicious cocktails offered by Cósmica, while you work with ink and water to create gorgeously and uniquely marbled drink coasters using the Suminagashi technique!
*Drink choice of White or Red Sangria, or Mango, Passion Fruit or Strawberry Mimosa. Must be 21+ to attend
Materials Included: Marbling ink (multiple colors), up to 12 coasters / person, soft-hair brushes, shallow trays, all the supplies needed
Duration: 60min. Please book at least 24hrs prior to the start of the event so we can have the materials ready for you.
