One of Cambridge’s most beloved summer traditions is gearing up for its biggest year yet. On Friday, June 27, the City of Cambridge and Central Square Business Improvement District (BID) will host the 25th Annual Cambridge Dance Party in front of City Hall (795 Massachusetts Avenue) — and this year's event promises to be more revolutionary than ever.


With the theme "Revolutionary Reunion 250," the Dance Party honors 250 years of community, movement, and change — a spirited nod to both Cambridge’s revolutionary roots and its ongoing cultural evolution.


This year’s Dance Party will run until 11 p.m., expanding its reach and energy across Massachusetts Avenue to Prospect Street. The celebration kicks off with a Cambridge Senior Jam Session featuring A Trike Called Funk at the Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Avenue) from 4 – 6 p.m. A family-friendly block party on Temple Street begins at 5 p.m., followed by music and the Dance Party starting promptly at 6 p.m. in front of City Hall.
