Brookline Music School presents the final Faculty Artist Series Concert of 2019-2020 Season. Piano faculty Brian Friedland will perform a virtual concert of solo piano and trio music, composed and improvised. In addition to a thoughtfully crafted program of original music and covers, this concert will include a new series of pieces called "Songs of Hope" that convey optimism and gratitude in these difficult times.
Man On Land is a collectively led trio between pianist Brian Friedland, bassist Greg Loughman, and drummer Austin McMahon. The band name is a combination of the end of each band member’s name, driving home the point that this group is a true collaboration. Each member brings their full creativity to the music, and all contribute compositions and arrangements to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
