Kathrine Switzer forever changed history in 1967 when at the time the Boston Marathon was a ‘men’s only’ event. When spotted on the race course, she was attacked mid-stride by the race director as he tried to physically remove her from the race course. Kathrine completed the marathon in 4:20 and changed the world of women in sports forever.
