Join award-winning author and Lesley MFA alumni Sara Levine as she discusses her numerous nonfiction picture books — Bone by Bone: Comparing Animal Skeletons; Tooth by Tooth: Comparing Fangs; Tusks and Chompers; Fossil by Fossil: Comparing Dinosaur Bones; and Flower Talk: How Plants Use Color to Communicate — and provides a look into her writing process from inspiration to research and fact checking to final book.


Immediately following will be a panel discussion about crafting nonfiction picture books featuring Sara Levine, as well as acclaimed authors Susan Goodman, Tracey Baptiste, and editor Cynthia Platt.
