Join us at the Rose Garden Coffeehouse in Mansfield for the return of the legendary Bill Staines. Bill hails from New Hampshire, but his images of wide open spaces in the West and in rural America make him a true American icon.

Bill grew out the folk scene of the 1960s. Since then, he has written more than 300 songs, many performed by others. Nanci Griffith, for example, played his endearing love song “Roseville Fair.” Other songs he’s written have been performed by Peter, Paul, and Mary, Makem and Clancy, Glen Yarborough and Jerry Jeff Walker.

On stage, Bill tells humorous tales of life on the road and he makes observations of everyday people, while encouraging his audiences to sing right along.

He is one of the most enduring musical voices in folk music today. We are thrilled to have him back to help us celebrate our 30th season.
