Welcome all to the Thompson Island Outward Bound Tasting Fundraiser. Come to Harpoon to taste a beer or two (or many more) in order to raise money for the awesome students of Boston Public Schools by helping them have science based learning in outdoor classrooms.
Outward Bound is present in 33 countries. We are a proud member of the network of 11 Outward Bound sites in the U.S., with a shared mission of changing lives through challenge and discovery. Playing a crucial role in closing the achievement and opportunity gaps facing Boston middle schoolers, our multi-year curriculum features hands-on field science infused with Outward Bound’s unique approach to character development, compassion and service.


As part of my Boston Marathon entry, I have committed to raising $10,000 for the island, and I
need your help. Here are a few examples of how your donation can support students in Boston Public
Schools:


$500: Brings 2 students out for a 3-day experience full of hands-on learning & character development.
$100: Gives 1 student the opportunity to come to the island for a 3 day immersion learning experience.
$50: Buys a new collection kit that will help a student bring science to life in Thompson Island’s salt marsh.
$25: Supplies two students with rain jackets, so they can enjoy their learning regardless of the weather!


I know what it's like to not have access to the outdoors and know that being outside can have a wonderful therapeutic for kids who are struggling. I would love your help in supporting our Boston kids!


Every ticket comes with (1) 4oz samples of Harpoon, UFO, Clown Shoes, City Roots and Arctic Summer products; (2) snacks galore; and (3) a good deed and a good time!!!
