Bay Cove Human Services, one of Massachusetts' leading human services organizations, hosts its annual Changing Lives Gala, taking place Wednesday, June 14, at 6 p.m., at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.


The event at the Seaport Hotel’s Plaza Ballroom will feature a dinner menu specially designed by Paul Wahlberg (pictured), owner and executive chef of Alma Nove and Wahlburgers. The gala also includes a cocktail reception, live music and a silent auction, as well as a live auction hosted by celebrity auctioneer Susan Wornick. All proceeds from the gala will support Bay Cove’s range of vital programs and services for people dealing with the challenges associated with mental illness, developmental disabilities, addiction and aging.


At the gala, Bay Cove will honor Alma Wahlberg—matriarch of one of Boston’s best-known families—with its 2017 Changing Lives Award. Alma and her children have tirelessly supported organizations that serve the most vulnerable people in and around Greater Boston. In doing so, and by sharing their family’s own story of struggles and triumphs, they have inspired hope and combated the stigma often associated with significant personal challenges.
