IN CONVERSATION with JERALD WALKER

October 4, 6 PM

Boston Public Library, Rabb Hall

The Arlington Int’l Film Festival in partnership with the Boston Public Library will host IN CONVERSATION with JERALD WALKER, an acclaimed author, and Professor of creative writing at Emerson College. His most recent book HOW to MAKE a SLAVE and OTHER was a finalist for the 2020 National Book Award in Nonfiction, winner of the 2020 Massachusetts Book Award in Nonfiction and A Book of the Year pick from Kirkus, BuzzFeed, and Literary Hub. Please join us for an intimate conversation that will take us into Walker’s visceral essays that speak to what it is to grow, parent, write, and exist as a black male in America.

This conversation will be moderated by Crystal Haynes, Emmy award-winning journalist and weekend anchor for Boston 25 News.

The event is free and open to the public with registration. Click HERE to register.
