This upcoming January, warm up your heart with sunny Cuban inspired art, live music from Jacob Clapper, and special refreshments from Elisa @home.stead bakery & cafe!
Katarina Yakimkina, an international Artist and Designer from Astrakhan, Russia presents her Habana Vieja inspired paintings and graphics.
Ahi-nama! - is cuban slang meaning 'here it is/ this is it' - with the suggestion of having reached the best or ultimate, therefore you do not need to look anywhere else. Probably, originally from spanish 'aqua nada mas'. The phrase is heard often in cuban salsa music. If during a song you can hear someone shouting out 'Ahi nama!', you know it is a hot tune.
