AERONAUT Allston runs through September... and now on THURSDAYS!!!

We've been packing crowds into the awesome new outdoor community program and performance space at Zone 3's hub of activity, 267 Western Ave in Allston. It's an upgrade from the blacktop parking lot of the past two years – but it still feels like home!

Our 3rd season showcases the best in local bands and musicians, fantastic local food trucks, and great beer!

AERONAUT Allston takes place every WEDNESDAY (5-9:30pm), THURSDAY (5-9:30pm) and FRIDAY (5-11pm), June 1 to September 28 at Zone 3 (267 Western Ave). See our full season lineup here: http://www.zone3westernave.com/aeronaut/

Zone 3 is a Harvard-sparked initiative to further activate and energize Western Ave with creative programs, events, and retail. More info: Zone3WesternAve.com

FEATURED MUSICAL ACTS for THURS SEPT 6

We're sure to have a packed crowd so get there EARLY for the best seats on the lawn.

Kate Diaz (6pm)
Kate Diaz is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter and composer-arranger-producer.

Kate is currently based in Boston where she regularly performs and composes while in college, and she plans to relocate to LA when she graduates next year. She has been working part-time as a freelance composer for commercials and as a freelance vocalist since her freshman year, and she has also worked at several film scoring and other music industry internships in LA and Boston.

Her current projects include self-producing her 5th album (coming 2018), scoring multiple student and independent short films, as well as composing music for an upcoming national TV ad campaign.

A performing songwriter since age 12, Kate is an "accomplished acoustic guitar player" with "an astonishing voice" who has released four acoustic albums of pop/rock songs with "clever lyrical content" and "natural rhythmic flow," including award-winning songs and songs for causes. Endorsed by Godin Guitars, Kate started performing as a solo artist in her hometown of Chicago and has since played over 300 shows both solo and with a band at Chicago/LA/NYC/Boston venues, as well as at national festivals and as a guest performer of well-known bands.

"Her songwriting skills are catchy as all get out and impressive for someone of any age" - Sonicbids

"Bright, singer-songwriter chops and a clean, clear, articulate singing voice" - Chicago Tribune

Dean Harlem (7:30pm)
Dean Harlem is an Americana, roots and country Singer/Songwriter based out of Epping, New Hampshire. His Journey began in New Jersey, which he left after high school to hitchhike the U.S. chasing after the spirit of Woody Guthrie. He cut his teeth as a performer playing on the street in San Francisco for tips, sometimes playing for up to 8 hours a day. “I mostly just played folk songs because they were easy and quick to learn. The Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, that was the meat of my set.”

In 2014 Dean released the Two Dogs EP. That same year he packed up his guitar onto a motorcycle and toured 8,000 miles, playing shows in 21 states, from California to New Hampshire. In the years since then Dean has toured the country many times over while consistently improving his craft. In 2017 he bought a high roof Ford Transit van and converted it into a camper. “I figured I’ll be on the road most of the time so I got a camper van instead of renting or buying a home.”

After spending the winter in Austin, Texas, Dean is now back home in New England, playing shows and working on his highly anticipated first full band, full length album. His music goes well with Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Townes Van Zandt.
