What is Zen? Is it the magic key that turns you into a calm, equanimous person, completely in control of their feelings, dispensing sage wisdom while floating on a cloud?
Well, no. But we think it's still a worthwhile practice!
We'll start with the question: what is Zen, and why bother? Then we'll dive straight in to discussing the core of our practice: zazen, or seated meditation, and spend five minutes trying it out.
From there, we'll follow the format of one of our regular sits, introducing each step before it happens. This will include our liturgy service, periods of seated and walking meditation, and an open Q&A and discussion.
