Fans of Second City and "Whose Line Is It Anyway" know that improv is lots of fun, but it's also a powerful method for teaching social skills to youth with autism and others with similar needs. Dr. Jim Ansaldo of Indiana University's Camp Yes And (yesand.indiana.edu) will have you up on your feet, laughing, and learning flexible, practical, and effective strategies for engaging students in social communication practice. This professional learning experience is designed for K-12 general and special educators, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, counselors, and social workers, and community-based arts educators.
