Wheelworks is proud to continue our Women's events with Joy Franco!
Wheelworks is proud to continue our Women's events and offer an event that will empower and encourage women to go on self-supported bike rides that include gravel roads, mountain bike trails, and pavement.
We are excited that this event will be led by Wheelworks racer Joy Franco who has been riding and racing mixed terrain since 2008. Joy has an infectious love of bicycles and is motivated to use it to get more women riding!
The event will begin at Belmont Wheelworks at 10 AM with a classroom session on how to prepare for a mixed terrain ride, what equipment to bring and how to fuel on a ride.
At noon attendees will then move outside to Lone Tree Hill for a clinic on flat ground bike handling, picking a line, and technical climbing. The group will then go on a fun group ride!
All skill levels are welcome and you are also welcome to attend just the in-shop and skills clinics if you do not want to do the ride.
