Ditch the Degree Filter

The COVID-19 pandemic changed how the world is doing business. It is also shining a light on another epidemic that has been growing throughout college campuses across the country. The epidemic is called “the skills gap”.

Historically, a college degree filter was added to the job application process because companies assumed that students would learn the necessary skills needed for work. We are now finding this is no longer the case.

This is why Harness_U and others are joining together to launch the “Ditch the Degree Filter” Initiative. It’s time to give everyone an equal opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have for the job.
