In celebration of St. Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, we present thought-provoking music for four, five, and six viols including works by Purcell, Lawes, Holborne, Ayton, Wallach, Vaughan Williams and others. We'll pair the music with readings of 16th, 17th and 20th-century poetry by Shakespeare, Jonson, Lady Wroth, Donne, Auden, de la Mare and more. Wine and cheese reception to follow.
