COLLEGE BEHIND BARS, a four-part documentary film series, explores the power of education through the eyes of incarcerated men and women trying to earn college degrees—and a chance at new beginnings—from one of the country’s most rigorous prison education programs. Join the filmmakers, formerly incarcerated students featured in the film, and Congressman Joe Kennedy III for an exclusive screening and conversation. Director Lynn Novick and producer Sarah Botstein have worked for decades with the film's executive producer Ken Burns, including on THE VIETNAM WAR, PROHIBITION, JAZZ, and THE WAR.
