Webinar: How to Manage a Compassionate Layoff

Overview:

Layoffs seem to be everywhere these days, whether you’re experiencing a layoff or if you’ve had to let people go. In this webinar we’ll discuss how to manage a compassionate layoff in the unfortunate event that you’re in the position of having to make workplace reductions. We’ll review best practices for handling this experience with empathy and care, along with considerations for in-person vs. virtual layoffs.

• Be able to define what a compassionate layoff means
• Give examples of how to hold space and care for laid-off employees
• Review best practices and planning for managers conducting layoffs

About the Facilitator:

Felicia Jadczak is Co-Founder, Co-CEO, and Head of Training at She+ Geeks Out. Felicia is a recognized speaker and consultant in the diversity, equity and inclusion field. She has extensive and personal experience with leadership, innovation, women in the workforce, the multiracial experience, and disability. Prior to co-founding SGO, she worked in the technology industry for over ten years, providing strategic guidance and programming for ERGs, DEI councils, and C-suite members. In 2016 she pivoted to focus solely on She+ Geeks Out, where she oversees SGO’s DEI programming and facilitation team.

Felicia received a BA in Comparative Literature (French, English) from Haverford College. She received an MBA and a Masters in Information Systems (with honors) from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. She also completed Georgetown University’s Certificate in Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Management.
