Do you hate the cold? Ya, me too. Do you hate being cooped up, though? Same here. Let's take a walk and explore a lush forest, interrupted by glacial erratics and a pond.


Hike Details:
Difficulty: Easy side of moderate
Elevation Gain: 285 ft.
Total Mileage: 4.25 miles
Total Time: Approx. 2.5 hours, depending on pace and amount of breaks.


What to Bring:
$5 for parking fee
Sturdy shoes (hiking boots or trail runners preferred)
Wool socks
Wool or synthetic base layer (think workout gear-type material). This may or may not be required, depending on the weather forecast.
Mid-layer, which can be a shirt, fleece and softshell pant
Coat, hat, gloves
Water and food


Optional, but Strongly Recommended:
Hiking poles
Rain gear (top and bottom). These may or may not be required, depending on the weather forecast.
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Bug spray: please seriously consider this if we haven't had a frost yet due to EEE.
