Volunteer Day on the Esplanade Part of REI Co-op's Trail Cleanup Series

Join REI Co-op and the Esplanade Association for our National Trails Day Community Volunteer Day on the Esplanade on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10am to 12pm! We invite all members of our community to #OptOutside and join us for a rewarding morning of volunteering on the Esplanade in honor of National Trails Day this year.

Taking place on the first Saturday in June, National Trails Day® is a day of public events aimed at advocacy and trail service. Thousands of hikers, bikers, rowers, horseback riders, trail clubs, federal and local agencies, land trusts, and businesses come together in partnership to advocate for, maintain, and clean up public lands and trails.

Taking part in the Esplanade Association's community volunteer days is a great way to meet other people who are passionate about volunteerism and giving back to the Charles River Esplanade, as well as our local community. This year's National Trails Day Community Volunteer Day on the Esplanade will involve cleaning up and removing litter from along the Esplanade's park land and shorelines.

This event will be divided into two volunteer groups (Group 1 and Group 2). Group 1 and Group 2 will have different meeting locations and cleanup locations on the Charles River Esplanade. Registration for each group is capped at 25 people. Please cancel if no longer able to attend.
