User Testing on Tap

Join us on Thursday, October 25 at WeWork St. James in downtown Boston. Network and discover how lean user research and usability testing can take your product to the next level!

Enjoy complimentary beverages and snacks with product managers, UX researchers, and designers from Liberty Mutual while learning about the most effective methods of user research for every stage of product development. You’ll also get to put several of these approaches into action by answering exploratory questions, test-driving two new features of a mobile app, and sharing your feedback. Meet members of a dedicated, 60-person user experience team, and participate in fun, interactive user research activities!

Presenter: Robert Thomas, Director of User Experience Research at Liberty Mutual

Bob Thomas is Director of User Research at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he has worked for the last 10 years building out a UX research team and expanding best practices around usability and user experience research. His background includes user experience research, usability testing, graphic design, and product management, and he has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He has presented at local, national, and international user experience conferences. He is on the Board of Directors of the User Experience Professionals' Association (UXPA) Boston. He holds an MS in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University, and an MBA in International Business from Suffolk University.

6:00-7:30 pm: Rotate among several “science fair” type presentations, ask questions, and test app prototypes

7:30-7:45 pm: Discussion wrap-up and conclusion
