Unitas Ensemble, Boston's Latin American Orchestra, presents their second installment in their season-long “Mujeres Project,” which seeks to promote the contributions of Latin-American women in the arts. Artistic Director Lina Gonzalez-Granados will conduct; featured also will be soloists Pedro da Silva on Portuguese Guitar, and Lucía Caruso on Keyboard.
The program will feature Teresa Carreno’s Serenade for Strings (Venezuela), performed for the first time in North America since its composition in 1895, Gabriela Frank’s Leyendas (Peruvian-American), Lucía Caruso’s Shakespeare Songs (Argentina), and Tania Léon’s Indigena (Cuba).
Tickets are $20 ($10 for students/seniors), and are available at unitasensemble.com

Unitas Ensemble was founded in 2014 by Artistic Director Lina Gonzalez-Granados to bring performances of Latin-American music of the highest caliber to the people of Boston. Unitas performs regular concerts in venues throughout Boston, and collaborates regularly with area Community Groups and Universities. The orchestra has
