Museum of Science founding director Bradford Washburn was an avid mountaineer and world-famous cartographer. His spirit of adventure lives on in our annual Washburn Challenge fundraiser hike on Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. Join us for a panel discussion with Dean Cardinale and Kat Follows, world-famous high-altitude mountain guides, to learn more about the Washburn Challenge and how you can conquer your mountainous goals—whatever they may be.
This unique event is hosted by the Museum of Science Fundraising Events Committee in support of the Washburn Challenge. Each year, this committee, along with other climbing enthusiasts and Museum supporters, takes part in a one-day intensive traverse of some of New England’s most rugged terrain on Mt. Washington.
