The concert features Time Beyond Time (2005), a ballet that portrays different dimensions of time as lenses to a range of human emotion set to French composer Oliver Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time. Pagano y No is an audience favorite, Cuban-inspired work set to Aruan Ortiz’s original score Santiarican Blues Suite commissioned for the ballet in 2011. Vanished Verses (2013) set to Bach’s Cello Suite in D Major is a work that shows off Mateo’s storytelling at its best.
