Stars on the cross-over scene, this young, dynamic string trio merges traditional, gypsy and jazz elements to form a style all its own. Returning to PCMS by popular demand for its first appearance with new violinist Charles Yang, the “classically-trained garage band” presents an eclectic, crowd-pleasing program that fuses music from from Bach to Brahms and beyond, from originals to their own arrangements of everything from bluegrass and folk tunes to ingenious mash-ups of hits by the Beatles, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and more.
