About the Exhibition:
Those Who Talk Back: Protest Banner Lending Library and U.S. Citizenship Test Sampler
Aram Han Sifuentes
February 2 - April 6, 2018
Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm
Aram Han Sifuentes’ Those Who Talk Back invites all to enter her interactive library, which houses the Protest Banner Lending Library, and U.S. Citizenship Test Samplers. In these works, fabric protest banners and samplers become a stand in for citizens, non-citizens, immigrants, the disenfranchised, and for those looking to voice their dissent and discontent, and hopes and aspirations for our world. For the duration of the exhibition, gallery visitors are free to check out and return protest banners.
