In this free, family-friendly performance, the UWE encourages the audience to experience the sights and sounds of the ensemble from different perspectives as you are seated around the musicians!
The University Wind Ensemble of Boston College will be performing as a full wind ensemble with an old favorite, Mambo from West Side Story, and a contemporary masterpiece, Speed of Heat by Julie Giroux. This performance will also feature smaller chamber groups for the audience to hear unique instrumentation.
The UWE concerts are perfect for audiences of any age. We also welcome everyone to enjoy refreshments after the concert. Parking at the venue is free and plentiful! A shuttle bus will also be running from the Conte Forum and McElroy stops at Boston College from 2pm-3pm and after the concert.
